Installation detail
ID: Two black vinyl lines move across a wooden floor and up the gallery walls. The lines represent a map of my movement during 79 days of walking (before and after) hip replacement surgery.
Square shelves are interspersed in the gallery wall. Each shelf holds an iPad playing a video of my legs walking on a loop. To watch the video the viewer must step up to the shelf and look down, my legs become their legs.

3 days before surgery I sit on the step outside of my house to put my shoes on. The lefts shoe goes on quickly. The right shoe takes much longer and requires a creativity of movements.
